A BIT ABOUT ME
I am currently a senior studying Broadcast Journalism at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. I graduate in May 2021 and have a passion for storytelling. I have been working as a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) and anchor for student media outlets since my freshman year.
A very important part of my story is the fact that I'm a transfer student. It's important because it has not only shaped my education (for the better) but has also shaped me as a person.
I have the privilege of learning about and practicing journalism from a variety of professionals in two very different communities: Syracuse, New York and Athens, Ohio.
I began my college career at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I was an MMJ and anchor for the student TV station, Citrus TV and reported on a variety of topics concerning Syracuse University and the city of Syracuse.
After two years at Syracuse, I made the difficult decision to transfer after realizing Syracuse was not providing the college experience I wanted. Despite this decision, Newhouse will always have a special place in my heart. I'm proud to be both Orange and a Bobcat.
Now, I am an MMJ and anchor for WOUB, the PBS station in Athens, Ohio.
